I have been studying Acts and Hebrews, about the "final sacrifice of Christ"
and the replacement of the Levitical sacrificial system. My questions is:
For the Jewish people who did not follow Christ, when did they stop
sacrificing animals for the atonement of their sins, who decided they could
stop, and what is done now in lieu of animal sacrifice for sins? - Missy
Thanks very much for your studied opinion. Missy,
The Jews never sacrificed animals for atonement of their sins. That's all
propaganda. We sacrificed animals because even back then it was wrong to
sacrifice people and the sacrifice took place to make us feel powerful. Don't
forget, they ate what they killed and people back then just didn't have a lot
of meat on their bones. They really haven't stopped sacrificing, now though it
is people that are being killed because we have fast food to eat at. I guess
if you want to put a timeline on when, it would be when they realized that GOD
didn't speak to Moses through a burning bush, Moses was just tripping his balls
off. If you've ever done that you would understand how he thought he was
talking to GOD. However, with you having the name Missy, I certainly hope you
wouldn't have balls to trip off. Anyway, what some do now to "atone for their
sins" is go to Burger King and get a bacon double cheeseburger. A nice Kosher
meal to make you feel good about yourself. I suggest you try it...
Thank you for your question. It was a good one.
