Yes, it’s Vegas and everybody knows that when you come to Vegas, you come to
party. And that’s okay. But just because you’re here to party doesn’t mean
you can act stupid too. This brings us to the subject of driving under the
influence. Which is a very touchy subject at that, but one that certainly
can’t go ignored. In 2003, 17,013 people were killed in alcohol related
crashes. That’s an average of almost one every half hour according to the data
from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In Nevada alone,
there were a total of 368 traffic deaths in 2003, 182 of them being alcohol
related. That’s 50%. Numbers don’t lie, so what will it take to convince
you?
We’re not asking you not to drink. We all know that’s a part of what makes
partying in Vegas different from anywhere else. It’s available 24/7 and it’s
being served by some of the most beautiful people in the world. All we ask is
that you hail a taxi, hop in a limo or walk even. Just don’t get behind the
wheel. Just some sound advice from your friends here at The Vegas Hustler.
